Elizabeth Real Estate & Luxury Homes

Elizabeth real estate had its start with Peter I. Van Wormer in 1859. Van Wormer settled on Running Creek, which still runs through much of the Elizabeth real estate today. Van Wormer was followed by a trapper, Justin Marlow. Over the first few years, many pioneers establishes small ranches on this area that was forested with ponderosa pines. The area was suitable for timber operations as well as ranching, and a mill eventually sprung up. After it did, the town of Elizabeth continued to grow, and within a few years another mill was opened, as well. The Denver and New Orleans Railroad set up in Elizabeth in 1881, and trains passed through six times a day during those early years.

Over the years, Elizabeth homes ebbed and flowed. By the latter part of the 20th century, however, a steady pattern of growth emerged. By the 1980s, Elizabeth was a popular bedroom community serving the metro Denver area.
